The water content of the condensate tank must be about
1/6 of the maximum evaporation of the boiler(s), which covers a minimum of 10 minutes of evaporation.
When the volume of the system is above average, the return is slow to come back to the tank or when the water needs to be heated, the tank must have a larger volume covering 20 to 30 minutes of operation.
The water must be heated when below 82°C (180°F), the heater capacity will increase proportionally to the percentage of make-up water.
Consult your Thermogenics representative for specific details regarding proper tank sizing, feedwater or transfer pump selection, and control panel options.
